ok first things first.
1. Download Simcity(J)
2. Download Arm7 fixer
3. extract Arm7 fixer and start the arm fixer.exe
4. will tell you that there is no arm7.bin and that you have to use a donor rom
5. extract simcity(J)
6. place the .nds inside the new folder created called Donor (Do not close the arm7 fixer window)
7. Hit enter on the arm7 fixer window and follow the onscreen instructions.

trying this right now to get mysims savegames to work on my ds-x! wish me luck

edit: save/load function still not working. on every game startup the savegame gets overwritten. ive tryed with both methods donor and game folder.

Nice.

Now I can't run it on this PC and therefore can't play Zelda. Anyone got a link to a different ARM7 fixer?

What's an ARM7 Fixer and what does it do?? Puts roms on flashcart?? Sorry about my noobness...Â

I'm with Nintendude...

What exactly is this all for?

I notice some people mentioning using this to get certain games (like DK Jungle Climber) working on their R4's, but the games that people mention all work fine for me on my R4.

So what's all this ARM7 business?

Thanks!

EDIT: As soon as I closed this window and went to the next tab (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=57788) it was all clear to me.

ARM7 fix is something to fix a problem where certain flash cards with old firmwares simply will not boot certain games due to incompatiblity with the arm7.bin file inside the ROM.

This has been fixed on most flash cards with firmware updates.

To hell with you two.

Without Darkfader's work, you might not be here piratin' DS games.

I am behind Darkfader's work 100%.
I'm glad that I didn't have to say this. I agree!

Well, actually, I'm behind his work for 99%, as I don't think the virus was such a good idea... But hey, he developed the PassMe, he dumped the first roms... Without him we wouldn't be able to use any Slot-2 cart for DS software, and we wouldn't be able to dump and use roms!

About the virus: he released it as a sort of rom, just to nag pirates. He told that himself in the IRC channel DSDEV. Someone else must have released it. Furthermore, he also released tools to undo the bricking.

He didn't want to brick everyones DSses, he just made a virus as some kind of project. That was a bad idea...
