Hacking ARM11 Crash With FreeShop on N2DS XL

Just a heads up, I am loading games to my New 2DS XL with freeShop and every now and again, I get an ARM11 crash. It's happened four times already and it usually happens when there are more than ten smaller games in the queue.

I took a snapshot here:

Can you please post some additional details?
Which version of Luma or other CFW are you using? are they up to date? Which version of Freeshop are you using? The old one 2.1 or 2.2? Or are you on the fork that's currently being updated?

Sounds like you have the freeShop made by the pedophile, the real freeShop is a fork v3.x.x

Luma 8.1. freeShop 2.2. Just hacked the unit this morning, so everything is up to date.

The method is completely unpatchable due to the an oversight by Nintendo. DSiware games have complete access to the NAND and this can not be fixed without completely reworking every single DSiWare game and the TWLNAND. They did however patch out NATIVE_FIRM downgrading, which is what the old method used to use in order to downgrade to 2.1 B9S no longer needs to downgrade in order to work, it just needs NAND access.

As for the OP, try using the most up to date Fork. If that doesn't work, try disabling the clock modifier (if you are running that)

Using the latest fork as I downloaded it this morning from the GitHub and I don't have the clock modifier running as I remember 11.4 and up broke it apparently and I didn't notice any real difference in using it.

So if what I got is not the latest, where do I get this 3.x.x
 
Upload that file that was dumped, it will tell us where the error happened.
The other option I've heard worked

  1. Insert the SD into your computer.
  2. On your SD browse to: /3ds/data/freeShop and open the file: config.json
  3. At the end of the file you will find: "language":"auto". Set auto to your preffered language (de = German, en = english).
  4. Save the change and reinsert the SD. Start freeshop.

semantics . . . urgh . . . quantum's post contained the thread wherein the release link is posted by the developer yes it was an indirect link but it was still provided for you and with additional information on freeshop mind you

Don't kid yourself. the version you call " the real freeshop" is using the source code that was created by the pedophile. So don't think using the fork somehow makes it more moral to use.

and fyi doing something horrible does not erase value from his accomplishments . . . the reason we dont use it anymore is because he is locked up therefore unable to update it hence the fork . . . its a program you use to steal shit and people want to bring up morals . . . just dont
 
Got the same problem (with freeshop fork) when scanning the QR code for the titlekeys with my New 2DS XL. But I just tried 3 times and somehow worked the third times. Except this problem, freeshop works perfectly on New 2DS XL.

I think you have to tap the bin icon, close freeShop, then open it again to make the old one really gone. Just renaming it won't save it properly. I saw some others have the same issue.
