Are video games better when drunk?

I was thinking, I play most video games while drinking and I seem to get into the story and combat a bit more when doing so. Also, Wii Sports Bowling & Nintendo Land is a blast with friends and drinking.

Opinions?

That's a mixed bag question, I know some games are more fun when drunk, like Mario Party, but others, I'm not sure about. I think we need to call the resident drunk Kupie and see what he has to say, as he is always drunk supposedly.

Anyways, I don't think I played a minute of Mass Effect 2 sober, it was so interesting drunk. I noticed I'm doing that to Fable Anniversary and Farcry 3 right now.

Well, it's true for me and my friends when playing party or rhythm games. We all have a blast while playing those drunk. But I never play games I really care for while drunk, I want to experience those with a clear mind. Though they really are great to play the few times I am hung over too.

Can't smoke weed, I get too paranoid and miserable.

Strange thing is I can't play CoD Ghosts while drinking cause I hurt my 2.34 ratio but I could play Blops2 and kick ass.

What's really fun is playing a drinking game to video games. We love us some drinking smash bros around here. When you die and come back on the cloud or whatever, you drink until you fall off and enter back into play (you can't make yourself fall, you have to timeout on there).

What's really fun is playing a drinking game to video games. We love us some drinking smash bros around here. When you die and come back on the cloud or whatever, you drink until you fall off and enter back into play (you can't make yourself fall, you have to timeout on there).

Done that very thing to Wii Sports and Nintendoland. On Wii Sports you had to drink shots when loosing and in Nintendoland we would drink to getting caught my toad or getting killed by the animal crossing guys.

I voted Yes, but would rather say "Sometimes". Most games are nice to play while sipping some nice whisky, rum or cognac... I wouldn't call that drunk though. Many games are hillarious to play while being piss drunk! I remember me and a friend getting ready to party, starting drinking at his place and played some Killzone 3. We tried getting some co-op trophies for hard mode, or whatever it was (we played on a harder setting at least). Came to an on-rails section and we were completely out of it, laughing at something we said or did... so I laid on the floor, with my feet on the couch, pressing the shoot button over and over, tears in my eyes, moving the sticks at random.... my friend did pretty much the same.... and we beat the stage.

lol thats awesome, me and my friends tend to play Halo when drinking. Splinter Cell if fu*king hard when drinking.

Oh man, I've never tried that, but I can certainly imagine it. So much patience required, but alcohol makes you impulsive.

Yeah, me and my cousin play Conviction when drinking and then get pissed cause its hard. lol

Buuuuut, seems more rewarding when you actually complete it.

Something that is surprising awesome when drunk is Gears of War 3 horde mode. We use to hook up 2 Xboxs together and play Gears 3 four players drunk and turned out to be some of the best times i've ever had drinking and gaming.

I can't smoke anything, I have OCD and it literally makes me miserable, I've tried so many things. Drinking keeps me cool though.

If you're playing Super Smashed Bros, you have to go all the way, brah.

Also, I will be sincerely disappointed if there isn't a GTA-themed game called "Grand Lager Theft Auto." Hell, the games even tell you you're "Wasted" when you die, it'd be perfect.

Chaos Theory and Double Agent both have co-op, too. The co-op in Chaos Theory even directly ties into the single-player (the co-op guys are on the other end of the radio with Fisher when he's in Seoul)

That said, I don't know how the Conviction co-op plays. Is it any close to classic Splinter Cell?
