And IF a laser the whole DVD drive dies can it be replaced?
I ask this question about most new systems I get, I had one of my PS2's die on me just a couple months after I got it back in 2001 and since it was a modded system and not under warranty I had my laser replaced, the thing worked until late 2003 or early 2004 after that.
I also had some part of the DVD drive replaced on my other PS2 I got in 2002, that PS2 still works perfectly fine.

So IF my Wii's DVD Drive dies, would it be possible to replace it with another wii's drive or buy a replacement from somewhere?

Price isn't half-bad either.

thanks for the info man, this was a huge relief
Theres plenty of professional modders where I come from so hopefully if something goes wrong at least one of them will know how to install the new laser/disc drive.
