Won't load. I can haz summary?
1) Current human life longevity = more hours available for free time = more people doing, being creative.
2) Cumulative, cooperative projects (ie wikipedia) enable more things to be done by more people.

Lolcats may be 'stupid', but making them is still a creative act. The fact that we have enough free time to popularize such a silly subject apparently shows we've progressed as humans.

'video can only be streamed to the United States'

The fuck is the point in it being called the WORLD WIDE web if you have to be in specific locations to watch stuff?

Progress is forward motion towards an ideal state. It can not be measured by how much time people waste, but rather by how much time we use to pursue the ideal.

Interesting video, but terrible title. But I suppose being sensational does get more people to click.

hulu.com, a sign of humanity's lack of progress.
This. The US is basically full of people that ran away from the UK. That's like a child not letting their parents in the house and...ooh, hang on.

Hulu.com? Get that shit out of here, they're part of the problem of so many websites refusing to broadcast content outside of the US.

You do realize they have to do that because of licensing issues, right? It's the same reason you can't view some videos on youtube with copyrighted content (and a lot of Hulu is like that because it's all copyrighted).

And yet youtube have exactly the same video without it being verboten for people outside the US.
Well perhaps because 'Youtube' is a larger more popular company known around the world, with a large budget - they were allowed to purchase the 'world-wide' licence, but since Hulu.com is relatively unknown (I've never heard of it until this post), maybe a small company or has a very limited budget - they are not allowed to buy the required licence (or they can't afford it) - so they 'pass the blame' to why they can't broadcast outside the US by saying...

'Sorry if you live outside the US,but because we reckon that the Licenciing people have made the required world wide licence too expensive & we can't afford it - you're stuffed'
