What fucking morons who believe this.

Out of all days they release it April 1st?

And if people already KNEW about this, why aren't they stopping this? I see everyone freaking out while I'm sitting here laughing waiting for 12:00am.

Oh shit. It's 12:11AM. HELP WORM DON'T EAT ME.

It is a worm, and it is already on an estimated 10 million computers. If you've update windows since November your fine. The people who are in trouble are people who don't update windows (pirated versions) and don't use antivirus, and those people probably have a shit-ton of other malware on there comps already. It's not a virus that will spread on April 1st, it's a worm that is already spread and is set to connect to randomly generated websites and receive new instructions tomorrow.

who knows what it will do? probably attack some websites using the 10,000,000 computers, hopefully it will destroy twitter!

My friend caught it this morning. Now he cant connect to the internet without his laptop crashing and can only work stablely in Sage Mode. We know someone who is on one of the teams Microsoft has assembled to fight it. Last night it took out 50 of their offices. Google, Myspace and Facebook have all been infected. This is a real threat, even to those who know how to fight it. If you've kept up with security and antivirus updates, you should be fine.

It's not a joke, BUT
1. Good virus makers will NEVER let the virus attack on the day it's most suspected to attack.
2. The virus makers will probably have sold the virus already and should be starting to make another one.

So, nothing did happen. It's not like one day is Ultimate Virus Doom Day, they will attack you when you suspect it the least.

Its real alright, I currently am taking Networking clases at the university and some computers would not access any page related to microsoft/antivirus or online virus scanner and just for the heck of it I inserted a pen drive and I plugged it in the laptop NOD32 V4 detected the dumb worm and fixed the other computers accordingly.

But as long as you have virus up to date there should not be any problems. Not a virus to be worried about, but its annoying nontheless
