After problems/flaws with SSL encryption, Apple has finally updated OS X Mavericks from 10.9.1 to 10.9.2 via a software update. It is highly recommended for all users to update to latest version of OS X immediately. Update can be done via Apple's Mac App Store or via the links at the bottom of this post.

Test to see if problem with SSL exists on your mac.

I looked at the thread, read "Mavericks" and expected Mega Man. Then I saw the bigger picture and I was really disappointed. :(

:P

Especially with the big old X in the image the OP posted. Dang.

I have a macbook pro, but its not getting updates past 10.6.8. Snow leopard was the best.

(...) runs just like the day I got it.
...you mean poorly? :tpi:
Had to reinstall windows a few times though :bortz:
Ah, that's why it's not poopie. :rofl2:

I kid, I kid - Apple does release quality hardware, it's just terribly overpriced. ;)

We should both be tied up and shot then. :(
Bring the rope - I'm not paying for the overpriced Apple brand and I know you won't wear anything else.

One of the things I dislike the most are that they include important things like driver updates (!) in numbered releases, so people have to buy new versions of the OS in order to update their drivers. It's why FEZ didn't work on certain versions of OSX when it launched (not sure about now). It required certain Intel HD drivers or higher because they added OpenGL3 support or something, and the drivers were only updatable by purchasing the latest OSX version.

Ever since updating, my MacBook Pro does not enter Sleep Mode when the Power button is pressed like before (one press and the screen black-out and enters Sleep Mode). Is it just with my MacBook Pro or does it have something to do with this update or do I have to change something in the Settings?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

[Edit] Figured it out now. The old 'tap to sleep' does not work anymore with this update. To put your Mac to Sleep, press and hold the power button for 1 sec and release. Ta-da! The screen blacks out and goes to sleep. Weired that I didn't see this change mentioned anywhere...

Only thing is that OS X upgrades are free since 10.9. But otherwise you are correct. Windows has the same issue with direct x, but so far that hasn't caused problems to gamers since so few games use the latest DX.
