Hacking App not appearing on home menu?

My 3DS setup is in my signature

Title pretty much explains my problem.
- The game i'm trying to install is donkey kong country returns 3d (which is about 2gigs)
- It appears in the 3DS Data Management settings and in BigBlueBox (as CTR-P-AYTE), but not home menu
- I've tried installing it using bigbluebox twice and fbi once - the results are the same each time

Plz help

edit: some more info
- the cia is USA but my consoles region is EUR, but i've installed USA cias in the past and they worked fine
- I've never installed a cia file this large before, which sort of leads me to believe the problem might be bc of the file size

It's possible that the USA games you installed before implemented Region Free into the CIA itself.

Try installing Free Multi Patcher and enable region free patches and see if it appears. If it does, it's because of region problems, and your best bet is to install a CFW like AuReiNand that implements region free natively.

My bad. In that case it doesn't seem to be a region issue, unless you're using a pre-4.0 build or AuReiNand?

I'll look around to see if there are other problems like you're describing. I can say though that it's certainly not the size causing it.

Dkc returns is a 4gb game.. You only have half of the file.

I just tried launching the game from BBM and it works fine. Crashes when I press the home button
