Ok m-teck, did a quick beta test and it seems that you fiexed all previous "bugs".
However, we still have the "come on dude... select only 1 version" poping out.

If you replace the 2 checkboxes by radiobuttons, your problem's solved and got a cleaner code due to less checks to make.
Also, noticed this, not really a bug but, when you run the app it connects to the net to check if it's uptodate or not (and it does it pretty fast).
However if i check for updates with the menu (? -> update) it shows a progressbar and takes ages to tell me that i'm already uptodate (which i already know since there's a text telling me so near the "create file" button).
My question is, why does it takes longer to complete? And is it really necessary to have this option since it's done everytime i load the app?

PS: Waiting for the final version mate !

Probabily because youve got v4 and the update server has v3....its a beta dont forget!!

Theres no reason to press the update button .... You know its upto date ... you said so...

The update button is designed to let you update if the gui tells you theres an update...

But I'll look at that...

As for the radio buttons ...leave that with me ...Ive got a problem with them....

EDIT!!!

Just looked at the updater and it did the update in about 5 seconds.... so not sure why its taking so long for you...

Fixed the radio button thing.... Yeah!!

IOS Reloading:
i've asked aswell as several other members, and nobody really knows. So my guess is that it act like the reboot function to load games off the disc channel.
But once again, just my 2cents.

Figured out what it does...

Forces disc channel to load everything with cIOS249. Don't bother using if your on cIOSCORP, as it can/will cause problems with games meant to run on an IOS other than 36, Rockband2 for instance, which requires IOS37.

Here's the NTSC version

[IOS Reloading]
version=289
offset=0x81375D38
value=0x3B200001
offset=0x81375D3C
value=0x3B0000F9

(NOT TESTED). But, you should be able to change it to force whatever IOS you want.
See that last line that ends with F9? That's hex for the number 249, which happens to be the cIOS we're forcing.
So in theory one could change it to force a different ©IOS.

Hmm... seems interresting, so maybe we can add a dropdown menu to let the user select which ios he wanted to use. Gonna try to code my version finnaly ^^

PS: By the way m-tek, congrats on the beta2 release.
Everything is working fine!

Comment ca marche...

**Le Preloader 0.27/0.28 doit être installé**

3. Cliquez sur 'Créer le fichier'
4. Copier le fichier 'hacks.ini' à la racine de votre carte SD
5. Allumez votre Wii, et appuyez longuement sur le bouton Reset
6. Allez dans 'settings' puis dans 'systemhacks'

Kinda pointless to do that, it was meant as an observation. The only people this hack is semi-useful for, are those not running cIOSCORP. And the reason it's only semi-useful, is because their system menu can't see that there's a backup there in the first place. They would have to use cIOS30 to get the system menu to see a backup, then this hack would force it to use 249.

Don Killah might sort it out!!

Done, anyone can just update their french.lng file with the following one. ^^

So... does that mean (I cannot test it with a chip-modded Wii) that IOS Reloading by itself wouldn't let someone with a Backup Loading CIOS249 load games via the Disc Channel? Sorry if my lingo is wrong, but I hope you get what I mean. How would this differ from MenuPatcher which supposedly does load games via the Disc Channel (although not on every reload)? Is there a way to take this one step further and make this Disc Channel loading of backups possible (without having to use CIOSCORP which is the idea here)?

Thanks! And awesome Hacks.ini creator updates!

No. You can't make the disc channel load games with this. Menu patcher is able to reload the sys menu to use 249 so it can show backups in disc channel. You just can't do that with Preloader hacks.ini.

And what about this SilverSurfR.
CrazyIntro have the ability to run 4 more appz (triggered by the d-pad) depending on their 'signature':
CODE

ÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ

So if we manage to make a channel out of MenuPatcher, and use "CIMP" (CrazyIntroMenuPatcher) for example as the sig, we might be able to run it on everyboot, no?

preloader 0.28 with various combinations of region free and disk area etc (using HIC.v4) gives black screen on my PAL 3.2 softmii'd wii on:

DKJB (ntsc-j)
Tatsunoko vs capcom (ntsc-j)
Shape boxing enjoy! Diet (ntsc-j)

i dont get it.

They run through gamma, but only if jap lang and ntsc forced.

Sorry to bump but i had a crazy issue, ended up virginising my wii, removing everything and reinstalling the system menu 290. Now if i run the hacks generated by hicv4 and enable them all, all games run either black and white or black screen.

So i disabled :

[Force Disc Region]
version=290
offset=0x81377B18
value=0x3C608000
[Force Disc Region 2]
version=290
offset=0x81377B1C
value=0x936300CC

And all my games are working perfectly!

I have no idea why this is, but an example of this is that sam and max ran in b&w with those 2 enabled and when i hit home button it froze, but now (without those 2) it runs 100%

That information is already public knowledge.... There are plenty of threads describing the removal of "Force Disc Region" to overcome the black screen...
