I've been experiencing lag when playing Apollo Justice
it happens during certain Cross Examinations and whenever certain songs play
this is the only game i've experienced lag with so far
Can anyone here help me?

Most issues with lag on any flashcart (but especially on an ak2i) is due to the micro sd card. First of all, try formatting your card using the panasonic sd formatter (for more info, read the akaio faq).

Note: formatting will erase all data, so make sure you back everything up to your computer ;)

If this doesn't work, your micro sd card is too slow; get a new one.

quote from the akaio FAQ
Which microSD card is best, and why?

When purchasing a microSD card you want to find one with a low latency. The lower the latency the faster the card can access the read/write routines, the better your ROMs will perform. Most non-SDHC cards have low latency and quick read/write speeds to begin with. In regards to SDHC the higher the class number the faster the card reads/writes. Class6, for example, has a 6mb/s minimum where a Class4 has a 4mb/s rate. Name brand does play a factor as some cards are simply made better, where others are re-branded versions from the same manufacturer. The consensus has been to use the Japanese branded Kingstons when dealing with 1GB and 2GB sizes, and the A-Data/Transcend name brands when dealing with 4GB+. There is speculation on which, if any, of the 16GB cards actually work with the Acekard products. While in theory they should work, the coders of AKAIO do not have one to test with, donations are welcome though. Always remember to format your microSD/SDHC cards with the Panasonic formatter
This is a consensus, not my opinion. I've been fine with Kingston class 4, but that's just me.

My Japanese 8GB Kingston Class 4 works quite well with any game. I used to own a Chinese Kingston, and then a Sandisk, and they were both crap... both slowed down when I tried to play more detailed 3D games.

Also, yes, Panasonic formatting can't be stressed enough. It truly increases game speed by some 10~20%, at least when it comes to my card.

My cheap-o Class 2 Samsung hasn't given me issues yet, but I haven't used it for DS much. It used to be part of my PSP's memstick though, if that lends it any credence.
