get ocarina of time/etc and use the game as your entry point
Thanks for the tip, but that's what i've been doing all this time and as soon as i press A after loading the save data in ocarina of time, the screen spazes out but instead of the homebrew showing up, i get forced back to the 3ds homescreen and get told to save any active data...

Update the payload on the cartridge, and the boot 3dsx on your sd

that's because you're using your old/ the wrong payload. update to the newest payload save (the raw save should end in "26624_usa_9221" for USA games)

the boot.3dsx shouldnt need updating

Have you tried going into a quest and back? That may fix it, or you may just have to upgrade it ingame to change the songs (maybe upgrading a hunting horn has extra code to change it?).

i originally noticed this when on a quest so that didnt work, but i could try the manual one

I'm sorry since the faq isn't clear.

What does it mean when equip you palico equipment sets to solve the crashing?

Is there any particular section in the program that allows me to equip the palico?
Am I suppose to do it in game? If so how?

It means, before you even look at the palico in game, build a set for a palico (ingame), even if it's just with the starting weapon and armor, register it, and equip the set to the palico. Then it should no longer crash when you go to select it.

Another fix if you understand how to hex edit, the highlighted part of your file (for example, Lord Meows.catz) is where the weapon, helmet, and armor are (2 bytes each, values shown are default weapon (or whatever is in slot 2), no helmet or armor):

Actually, no. "00 00" would be slot 1. "01 00" like what you have there is actually slot 2

Is it possibel to get my savedatas convertet to files your programm use? Because i am on the version 11.1.0-34E and i never had a homebrew version before i have no chance to use the programm.

you need homebrew to get to your saves in an unencrypted format. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D can be used on 11.1.0.34 as an entry point (with a hacked save you can put on it via powersaves) and all you need besides that is put a few files on your 3DS's SD card (which is easy to do). Look up a guide to using "oothax" for the specifics and at the first post in this thread for how to access your save.
