Ok i already have homebrew on my wii. However my sd slot broke yesterday. I don't know how it happened but im sure my brother did something. Anyway it's completely broken. The sd card won't even lock in place in the slot and the wii always says there is nothing inserted when there is.

Anyway i only hacked my wii for the sole purpose of playing brawl+ which is played by loading codes through gecko Os. Since i can no longer use my sd slot in the wii i was wondering is there anyway i can load the codes through a flashdrive using the usb ports? I know stuff like loadmii and the usb loaders exists so the wii is capable of loading data through the usb ports. I just need a way to load the codse

I would simply just send my wii back to nintendo but im sure they would remove the homebrew channel.

Well If you use the Usb Loader, you can load SSBB and Cheats off a USB Drive...

yeah, but unless he has USB loader already installed as a wad, then he's done.

i didn't think the HBC would even work w/o a SD card in the slot. well, it will load but doesn't do much good if there is no data to read from the sd.

Ok so the only way now is to use the usb loader and load the codes and the game through the loader? Is there anyway to install the loader without the sd card?

you can always send apps to HBC over wifi, but none of the usb loaders out there work through that method at the moment.

    phillyrider807,

Have you tried opening the Wii to see what's wrong with the SD slot. It may be as simple as a spring slipping out. One of my GH guitars had a tremolo bar that would not return to its normal position. So while playing, all songs sound like a bent record. I opened it up and found that a part connected to a spring had broken off. I couldn't fix the broken part, but I found a place where I could use some rubber bands to provide the "spring" tension to the tremolo bard. Works great. Point is, you may find something that's very simple to fix, or a workaround.

Is there anyway we can get in touch with Bushing and tell him to add usb support to the homebrew channel.
