Hacking Anyone know why my ARDS won't properly connect to the Code Manager?

ARDS is being stubborn and either partially connects or connects for a second and then disconnects from the Code manager, yet it still shows up as connected on the PC. Anyone know why it's doing this? Drivers are up to date and changing cords does nothing. Here are 2 videos of it.

Video 1: It connects and displays the codes, then disconnects after a second. DS just says "listing content."

Video 2: It connects, but no codes are loaded. Bottom screen simply displays "Error!" on a loop.

Run it in compatibility mode for XP SP3.

I'm in a similar boat, although when I connect my ARDS to my PC, I just get a USB device not recognised error.
Not sure if it's my windows or the device/cable is just faulty. It's not like Datel products have ever been too reliable.

Edit: Scratch that, it really was just my Windows installation.
Tried it on my laptop quickly and it actually connected properly. I'm gonna try flashing boothax to it after work.

Just tried this, still got the same problem.

Trying it again now that I got home, it seems like it won't connect at all on my Silver DS Lite, but has a chance on my White DS Lite, how weird.
But the PC software doesn't establish the connection, it gets stuck on waiting just like patrizl001's.
