All of the sites I used to browse for case mods had those LEDs but the sites are down. Have you tried EBay?

It's very difficult to find any info about the mod but shouldn't be hard to reproduce the same thing. Just find a small LED controller that runs off of 3.3 volts, find a reliable power point on the DS Lite, some soldering and you'll be good to go. Ask in the benheck.com forums, you'll get a lot of help there.

Isn't it... like... pretty universal? The LED is flashing along with the soundwave are the easiest to build:

Naturally you'll have to adjust the circuit to work at a much lower voltage, but the principle remains the same.

Alternatively you can build a programmable one like the one in the video using one of those short, LED-based programmable christmas tree lights.

well im not good at circuitry and what not thats why i wanted to just folllowing instructions on something already made and as for it being annoying you hold the R button for 3 seconds and it turns off and on so another thing i would hae to figure out in a circuit that im not good with lol ill tr asking in benheck
