Hacking Anyone know how to fix this?

Okay so my brother was playing wwith his R4 card. (Original one)
Then an error keeps saying SD/TF error.
I've bee using my other 2 micro sd's on that specific cart and it still not working.

I'm pretty sure it's the R4 having a problem since I used my bro's micro SD and it worked with mine with no errors/problems.
Will you have to open up the cart or is there any other solution?

I think it's a reading issue with your cart. Could be wrong ~

Yes. It's the cart i think. I even put it there on the top

It's easy enough to open up without doing any harm to it, so i'd investigate if the contacts on the MicroSD card slot are OK.

You should always try cleaning the contacts, or putting a piece of paper behind the MicroSD card as you insert it.

And will I simply use alcohol so clean up the contacts??


I dont really care if the R4 breaks, but I want to try as much as I can to fix it.
We could just buy another flaschart, specifically an Acekard but my mom is too selfish sometimes to buy another one

Yes, use alcohol and I would also make sure the contacts are connecting flush. Paper method might help that... I would insert the card, and try to put a piece of paper in between the card and the back of the DS.

Distinct possibility. TBH replacing it even if your mom is unwilling would not be that hard. You can drop $10 on a pre-paid Visa anywhere. Then just order it yourself.

Darn it! I will just hope it gets broken so that we could but another one! Im so friggin tired of the r4's SO MANY issues!
I will keep forcing her. I'm tired of the R4's build problems. So I hope a new flashcart will solve my problems.

There's a screw on the back, you just unscrew it and pop it open. They even used to come with a second shell so you could change the colour.

But yeah... swab some rubbing alcohol on the microSD card then put it in/take it out a few times.
Let it dry for about 5 minutes, then try to see if the cart will read it.

You might have a dead R4 and will just have to get a new one.
