Hey all. I was wondering has anyone been able to hack Minecraft Wii U or has anyone found a way to convert Minecraft Wii U maps to pc maps like how you could convert the Minecraft Xbox 360 maps to pc.

Thanks.

I haven't the game so i haven't been further in it. But i do have some documentation about Wii U worlds file structure

I love MC Wii U. This would be pretty cool to see something like this come out.

This along with mods and custom texture packs (or taking existing ones and injecting them) would be awesome.

I don't think any people older than 12 will work on mods for this game since it's for 5-year-old kids and one of the worst yet overrated games ever so yeah. I have been asked to do something too but nope, watching gameplay already gives me eye cancer :P

Well you can mod it yourself mind xbox and ps3 file format is the same as well so you can transfer mods over except the saves/maps, those can't transfer. Texturepack modding and stuff works too.

I think most of us over 12 will mod the game, Your opinion and I'll respect that

I'm not a huge MC fan but I'm pretty sure there are adults who play it, just because it has a large kid fanbase doesn't discredit it as a game and count as a reason not to mod it. Your choice, though.

You Make a good point though, LET THE MAP SHARING AND MODDING START!

MCWiiU map sharing is probably somewhat far away, unless it uses the same map format as MC for Xbox since apparently that one can be converted according to previous posts in this thread. Modding would be interesting but somehow I don't think we'll be getting anything close to PC mods any time soon.

can't tell if bait

Yes, I get that most people playing are like 10 years old, but that doesn't stop it from having good modding potential. Though, if you really want mods, play the PC version.

True, if you want modding capability the PC version will be far better than any console hacked version. It's still nice to have some modding potential on the Wii U version though.

For the PC users that have a bad computer downloading too much mods could cause the game to crash but when you actually launch the game on console, everything runs smooth

I doubt console game mods on a platform where texture/music mods are still difficult to run and in their infancy would run any better than they would on PC.
