I googled a bit but all I found was somewhat ... crap >_> so I was thinking maybe any of you know a site you mightve used or know is a good one when you're absolutely not familiar with reading notes, playing a musical instrument (besides Guitar Hero).

Thanks much!

I'd recomend going to ultimate-guitar.com they have a lot of guitar tabs and a forum which might be of some help to you.

And lessons + columns.
Tons of info there. Or you could... "borrow" dvds with beginner guitar lessons.

yea ultimate-guitar is the best, IF you want to just learn tab.

just so you know, there are some a lot of standard musical rules you NEED to know even if not learning the full "real" system of music.

edit: also, I have several years piano experience before even started playing bass, but theres a free online ebook I used to help with bass, called Rock Bass: Beginner to Pro in 4 Weeks. While it may be made for bass players it works for guitarists and bassists of any genre (although DON'T use it alone - get some other material as well).

another good site is http://www.tunemybass.com

a good site for tuning of guitars and basses.

I suggest you start to learn the bass, it is a great instrument, and is a challenge to learn.
This site is great for beginners.
How to play bass

Also if you have not got a tuner the site includes a free bass tuner
bass tuner

Hope these sites help you as much as they have helped me.
