I'm a bit surprised by the lack of commercial alternatives to the SX Pro for payload injection. Of course anyone can make their own dongle using one of the multiple guides here, but to me all of those solutions have downsides when compared to the TX dongle (significantly bigger, require a cable, require external power source, etc.).

At that point I would have expected eBay to be flooded with cheap TX dongle knockoffs, but as far as I can tell there's nothing like that. Or am I missing something?

This is the only one I've seen (it looks like it uses capacitors like the SX Pro nevermind, looks like it uses a small battery that's charged with the usb port): https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...-Kits-Brand-New-with/3678106_32900754791.html

I can't vouch for it obviously because I don't have one so who knows if it'll kill your Switch.

TeamRebug are working on an external version of SwitchME that will use a CR2032 battery, they're hoping to sell that for less than $15 + shipping. It doesn't seem like it'll come with a plastic case or anything like that so you'd have to figure that out yourself if you cared about that.

Thanks for the info, very interesting; might well wait for this external SwitchMe!

There getting hard to find - I purchased "2" NS-Atmosphere dongles (solid build) from eBay awhile back (little over a month)
and before I even received - the seller had his listing removed by eBay. *I got the 2 I purchased as was in route anyway.

A week later of 1st order (after I see the shut down and waiting on delivery)....
I ordered 4 of the RCMloader (nice) from different person and that seller got his listings "shut down" while my payloaders where in the mail too (got em).

I hurried and ordered 3 more from another seller (got those)*after seeing 2nd seller get shut down....
and he continued for awhile (over a week) and still selling them - I stopped looking and eventually, now none available in last couple weeks I noticed.

There still around tho. Aliexpress is a trusted site. I've purchased multiple times and good outcome. Only thing I see at Aliexpress is

ABS Atmosphere USB Disk Switch

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ABS...5f-4688-984d-487797d6121b&transAbTest=ae803_4

I know nothing about this one - capacitor (no battery) so no telling how long last before needs "zapped" for charge (takes only seconds with usb connection)

And as for updates.....??? I'm sure it will be like the RCMloader and just act like a usb devise when connected - so drag and drop any update needed.

Crap....didn't notice this was an old thread (was in highlighted post so I tripped here).

Above is still true and recent information on the payload dongles available (my experience anyway).
