Hacking ANIMAL CROSSING POWERSAVES ISSUE

Hello, I have tried using the powersaves pros with my animal crossing a new leaf game, and, it does not work. Keep getting a message saying there was an error processing my game file. Game works just fine afterwards, no corrupted data or stuff like that. All my other games work fine, I have the latest update version of powersaves. What could be the issue, theres people using it on on Sky3ds with oras and animal crossing cuz they are epprom no games. How come it wont work for me? I can backup the save file just fine, it just doesnt seem to be able to apply codes.
