    Greetings all

I own a Gateway and all is well (apart from the occasional freeze but it's ok).

Now I own 2 3DSs and on one of them I have Animal Crossing New Leaf from the eShop and it loads in about 10 seconds.

Now I downloaded Animal Crossing NL for my Gateway too and it loads about 65 seconds (over a minute!)

Is it normally this slow? Is it just me with this problem and if so what can I do to improve?

My big SD card is Class 4 and my Micro SD card is also Class 4 8GB.

    Thanks

A class 10 in your Gateway will definately show improvement .

Significantly. You can find speed tests comparing read times all over google.

Class 4 is good for DS games, not for 3DS as they are significantly larger.

The game connects to internet when loading. That might affect the speed since gateway cannot connect.

A class 4 can be a little slow, if you do consider getting a class 10 ensure it is a decent brand. Also you might want to check the various benchmarks of each class 10 out there to see which is good for the money.

No, it doesn't. The only time it connects to the internet is when you initialize the connection, otherwise, it's almost completely singleplayer.

It IS singleplayer game, doesn't mean it won't connect on start. You can try to capture packets.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I bought a SanDisk Ultra 32GB Class 10 from Amazon and the speeds are much better.
It was exactly as fast as my eShop download.
