Well, I've got both my old save file and a new one. If anyone could message me and help me out, that'd be great. Cause I don't really know what I'm doing.

I dont know if this works after the update but have you tried using an injector that injects without the secure value?

I don't want to sound like a dick, but if you don't know what you're doing why did you jump right into an alpha version of the editor after being warned that it could screw up your save?

Because I'm impatient and have used this save editor numerous times before the update and even when it's been in alpha, I've used it quite a few times. The editor didn't even screw up my save. I edited my town and realized something wasn't in a place I wanted it, so I tried just reimporting my old save file without realizing I had to change anything about it.

Ah okay. sorry about that.

Do you have a save backed up from before your problem? Try loading that first to see if that fixes the problem, if you have it.
Yeah. I've tried. The problem is I loaded my game back up after editing my save and it worked fine. My problem is the fact that I tried reloading my old save after that without updating the secure value or whatever which resulted in my save being deleted completely. And the function to update the secure value doesn't work properly with the editor right now.

Have you tried editing the secure value yourself using a hex editor?

Is it safe to move villager houses? Cece moved to my town sooner than I expected and she ruined my rose garden.

I moved the house of one of my villagers without problems a while ago.
Together with other buildings.

I made some adjustments and the game save will never load. It shows the train loading thing and then just a black screen.
Heads up for anyone who didn't know this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but new villagers are in the alpha but they can't be set to default right?
I want to add Epona and Ganon but if they can't be set to default I'll just wait.

Edit: I added the animals anyway to test; Vivian and Ganon were added fine but Epona and the house she was in just disappeared though. Unfortunately I don't have much details because I wasn't paying much notice to who I was replacing and their state but it's a possible glitch.

But at any rate asides that, putting some flowers on my ground and playing around with villagers didn't screw with my save/game at all on my EUR game in case anyone is wondering.

Edit 2: Realized Epona's house wasn't showing up because it was still being built. Silly me.

Ok so I tested the editor by relocating Cece's house and fixing my rose garden, I even put Callie's whole outfit set on my pockets and everything works just fine!

Just so you know I have Luma CFW and used the normal Homebrew save manager to extract and inject the save file.

I have not updated yet and I am trying to move buildings but when I put in the co-ordinates and save changes I load the garden.dat file into the editor again to make sure the building has moved to new location but it has not.
Does anyone know whats happening please? :)

I exported my save using JKSV's cia save manager, edited then imported it back. I use the cartridge version of the game and nothing went amiss.
