I have seen many people asking how to edit stuff on ACNH, and some i have been responding via PM, so let's get this explained.

1. Do i need a modded switch?
YES. If you dont have it dont ask me how, there are a lot of ways on google of how to do it

2. I do have a modded switch, what more do i need?
JKSV .Nro file (this goes on the switch, on the root:/switch folder of your SD)
https://github.com/J-D-K/JKSV/releases

Animal Crossing Mobile Spawner for cellphone (optional)
https://github.com/berichan/ACNHMobileSpawner/releases/latest

NHSE (for pc)
https://dev.azure.com/project-pokemon/NHSE/_build

3. Ok, i have all that do i need anything else?
This is mostly what you will need

To start you need to make a backup of ACNH with JKSV, check the video tutorial

Once you have your backup, transfer your folder with the save to your pc. To do that you can
- Turn off completly the switch, extract the sd and conect to pc
- Use a mtp program on switch to conect to pc via usb
- Use a FTTP program on your switc/pc to transfer files

Now we have our folder on pc, first make a copy of the folder just on case we make a mistake, then we need to open NHSE

And then open click on the big blue button, and look for the main file on your pc

Yo must be looking something like this
3.jpg

First lets decide what we want to give ourselfs
4.jpg

We can edit our pockets on "Edit Items" (only 40 items)
5.jpg

Note: In this case count changes the variant and/or color. to change a variant its count + variant, example
pink tableware (1) + green cloth (128) - count: 129
white tableware (0) + green cloth (128)- count:128
Black tableware (4) + green cloth (128) - 132

once you fill your inventory we can do many more stuff
1.jpg

Dump - This will create a NHI file, wich can save every object to load it latter
Load - This will call the NHI file we made or downloaded
Inject - This will send the objects in live time to our switch (you need internet conection and sysbot-base to use this)

Villagers
Unless you know specifically what you are doing, dont use anything else more than
Species
Variant
the game will fix their houses automatically.

Let's edit the map with the map editor
3.jpg

to make a full flat island go to acres and change every acre to Flat- 0
4.jpg
To move buildings and/or houses go to the buildings tab and change the X and/or Y numbers of the buildings
5.jpg

First click on the remove Items button
6.jpg

then spawn
7.jpg

you can spawn the DIY, NHI or a specific items as many times you need
8.jpg
Its a work in progress and i will update asap

Do I understand correctly that you have included in thread name word "mod" when you have shared only save editing tutorial?

Save editing /=/ modding

Modding, or creating mods, is the act of modifying the assets or behavior of the game either for personal use, or to release publicly to other players

And tutorial section is here:

Very interesting, thanks! I currently have 1.11 xci installed on emuMMC (CFW) and 1.7 on Yuzu (PC). I started playing on Yuzu before I bought the Switch. Could this method be used to potentially migrate my save from Yuzu to the console? If not, is there another approach? Thanks!

Maybe you could use jksv to make a yuzu backup and then send it to your switch

Alright, thanks!! The Yuzu backup contains the following:

01006F8002326000 (folder)
> Villager0 (folder)
> landname.dat
> main.dat
> mainHeader.dat

If I can get this folder onto my SD card, can this be used by JKSV? Any tips on how to "restore" this save?
