I am looking for a 7" Android tablet to play games like Amiga, SNES, GBA, any recommendations or should I get a PC 7" Windows Tablet

Don't get an HTC tablet, unless there are Non-Sense ROMs available for it. Using a Wiimote(+ Classic Controller) as a controller via Bluetooth is way too cool and the only way I play retro games now.

galaxy tab works pretty well. Although I do have problems connecting the WiiMote on it (touch screen control on any device is shit)

I'm thinking about buying this one.

It's the only one I've seen that's affordable and has wi-fi, adobe flash and the ability to run emulators. Also is dealextreme a trustworthy site to order from?
that's a craplet, aka a piece of junk that isn't worth your money, it will run slow as crap, runs either froyo or gingerbread (as opposed to honeycomb optimized for tablets), doesn't have any google apps (the android market, gmail, google maps, etc.), and is generally made out of pure bullcrap that will disappoint you in every way possible

Well damn. What am I supposed to do? I can't afford a $500 tablet.

I also have a galaxy tab, it is running GBA just fine , you don't need fancy things to play GBA games on it , check ebay

well there is a nook color which is 200usd from barnes and nobles it is an ereader but with some tweaks is a full fast nice tablet
http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/16/nook-color-review/
Well I did some research on the nook color and I'm impressed. It does need to be rooted to unlock it's full potential though. But all the stores in my area have it for $250. Where did you see it for $200? Also is has a 800mhz processor as opposed to 1ghz. Is that okay or will it cause slow down.

well if you want a full tablet you ought to root it or install another version honeycomb or cm7 also when rooted it can run up to 1.3ghz as i have been using it for 2 months i must say that is perfect all around.
about the 200usd maybe it was an offer as they usually do sales ,even and for 250 it is a bargain

I bought mine for $190 "Buy it now" price on eBay.
Don't bother installing Honeycomb on it if you get it, it's just a port, and has a lot of bugs.
Cyanogenmod7 runs perfect, and it plays every game I've thrown at it.

I'm looking into getting a tablet as well. So you think the Nook Color is pretty good once rooted and tweaked? Will have to look into it further.

another option would be the g-slate $260 on amazon, but i'm sure you could find it on ebay for cheaper

you have to root both of them to actually get a quality tablet from them, just so you know, and if you want the best of android right now you'd have to give up $500 for the galaxy tab 10.1

How smoothly does it run emulators? Like N64, snes, sega genesis, ect.

How responsive/good is the web browser? Does youtube and megavideo work?

The tablet with the best value for money is probably the POV Mobii TEGRA or the Advent Vega over here. The only thing wrong with it is a poor viewing angle, but it is easily bearable.

It's good! Flash and everything works nice. I don't use stock, because I don't like the interface. Dolphin HD is very nice for the Nook.
Youtube works great for me. I've never tried megavideo, but if it's a website using flash it should work.

Can you tell me what guide you followed to root your nook color? There's so many I don't know which one is best.
