Android Android kill battery?

never rooted my HTC desire HD

but then again why need to?

i just got Taskiller to sort out battery

i have loads of games and stuff

no real reason to root it
but i think you can get a app that roots you the phone on boot

this is what makes me want to punch my monitor

But then again I believe there are different types of 'taskkillers'

There's those that allow you to kill (force close) apps [Taskkiller] which use a 'brute force' approach

Uncheck some apps you don't want to kill (such as Advanced Task Killer and some system apps) Tap the button 'Kill selected apps', it will kill all applications checked.

& there's those that are memory managers [Autokiller Memory] that tweak existing Android settings, but still uses Android own method of 'shutdown'
