Hacking "An exception occurred" ARM11 (core 1) N3DS

Should i continue with this even though my SD card no longer has no any files? Or should I get those back on my SD card first

You can repair the 3DS firmware + custom firmware with that CTRTransfer (Type D9) v1.7b on a secondary, (preferably smaller) 4 GB SD card. Everything listed in that Instructions should be more or less self contained with whatever files that are needed to complete the repairs.

You can try data recovery on your main SD card if you're trying to retrieve deleted or lost saves files in the Nintendo 3DS folder, etc.

This would be kinda like deleting 'System32' on Windows, or forgetting to add back motor oil from a car oil change.

Yh i went into to fbi then > 3ds... it showed me all my apps/games then underneath were loads of entries but they had no title or name just a bunch of numbers which I thought were just junk and started deleting I got rid of maybe 10 or more

Were these bunch of numbered Title IDs colored in red? Those would be the systems titles (ie, the 3DS firmware itself).

Have I messed my 3ds up? Can I fix this? I haven't touched my 3ds in years so I'm now rusty as to what I need to do.
Having a really hard time getting all the original files that were on my SD card... When I go to soundhax and try downloading the file it never let's me tried in both Firefox and Internet explorer

You might want to review and familiarize yourself with the Instructions. Soundhax is outdated stuff. You can install files to the SD card with the computer and SD card slot reader.

Soundhax is an outdated entry point of accessing Homebrew Launcher through Nintendo 3DS Sound. It's not relevant if one's 3DS has boo9strap custom firmware.

If you don't have another SD card to use, I would suggest you scan and retrieve as much of the missing files with one of those listed data recovery software. Good stuff requires pro version; either buy or find another means of acquiring an unlock copy of one of those. I recommend the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard option.

I had the same issue and user Giodude (on another post) suggested placing boot.3dsx in the root folder of the SD Card. Hope that helps. It may also be another missing file.
