Homebrew An Exception Error occurred: how to fix it?

I'm a complete noob to this, but i managed to jailbreak my o3ds using Luma CFW. Today II purchase a 128GB SDXC card from my local Argos, and formatted it as FAT32. Everything seemed to work.

I downloaded some cias to install on my 3ds and opened FBI to install it. I choose SD, then Cias, then <this directory> and I got an exception error. I have no idea what happened.

Any help?

So, the exception error is really broad and can cover quite a few things.

What cias were they?

Did you download the .cias from your computer or device, or straight off of FreeShop or another 3DS program?
