i just know there is an otpless way to get A9LH, and i want to know how can i use otpless to hack, is there any system version limitation？and the method is safe for old or new 3ds？

You can still use it tho. At your own risk! New 3ds only, on version 9.2. Just use the latest safea9lhinstaller and the data_input_v4.zip lurking around and you can do the otpless install.

The amount of bricks were far and few. It was dropped from the guide because the 2.1.0 method doesn't cause any bricks at all. So it is better than the .00004% that were bricking.

OTPLess was only for N3DS. I personally would use OTPLess on my system if it were available. However, the bricks were random and caused by randomization of data. The dev, AurorWright, couldn't replicate any of the bricks.

If you want 100% safe and don't mind waiting, do 2.1.0. If you have 0 patients and are okay with it possibly bricking, do OTPLess.

In all honesty, when doing any hack like this, you should always be okay with your device bricking, as it may happen.

I wouldnt reccomend doing otpless method.It has a much higher chance of brick.

9.3-9.5 isn't the same as 9.0-9.2. The ARM9 exploit was patched in 9.3, which is why we downgrade to 9.2.

There's little reason to do OTPless right now. At that point, you are just a short 2.1 ctrtransfer from doing it the normal, much safer way. Just forget about OTPless for now and follow the guide. http://3ds.guide/

Otp less has been known to cause random bricks even if you do it right, So for now just forget otpless as others have said

True, but the brick rates are still <1%. I think we can even count the bricks on our fingers. Granted, they are random and non-preventable. I just like doing it in 15 minutes versus 2 hours. It took me about 4 hours the first time.

But I guess people don't want to risk bricking their stuff, so sure, the 2.1.0 method is 100% safe (granted done correctly and checked the SD card prior with h2testw or equivalent). Plus, I have Cubic Ninja and there is the really quick Cubic Ninja OTP method.

It is still fair to say that 2.1.0 is 100% safe and OTPLess is 99%+ safe, but with the warning that the bricks are random and happened to experienced users. So I wouldn't say it's safe enough if you aren't willing to lose your hardware. But then again, as I mentioned, there is always a risk of bricking when hacking and you should always be okay with losing your hardware prior to hacking.

People here are right, you'll only gonna save 10-15mins with the otpless installation. IMO, it's better to downgrade to 2.1 to obtain the otp.bin file. IIRC if you remove a9lh and updated to the latest version, you can easily reinstall a9lh with the use of your otp.bin (please correct me if I'm wrong).

You'd still need khax to run the installer. So this wouldn't be possible on 11.2. Correct aside from latest FW.

I think the installer only needs a direct NAND access (khax, DSiWarehax or hardmod provide it). Can anyone confirm that?

Sure, NAND access. If you have a second, modded 3DS, sure, you can use DSiWarehax and use the otp.bin to shorten your steps. If you just have one 3DS, then you need a khax exploit, which were all patched in 11.2 (all known ones anyways). The only known exploit in 11.2 is a really bad userland hack that can takes weeks+ to run.

Hardmod you can extract your NAND. You still can't browse it without xorpads. So you'd still have to do the firm injection, write that image to your NAND, then continue from there. You can shorten steps by having your OTP.bin, but I don't think you can get around replacing firms if you're on 11.2.
