nono. If it doesn't start with GW3D you're not on emunand, doesn't matter if you're using the n3ds or the 3ds.

I followed these steps and it updated my effing SysNAND -_____-

Was step one.

You can check whether you're in emunand by making the tiles smaller on the main menu so that they differ from your sysnand.

As long as you have your nand dump you can hardmod and restore, just make sure in future you don't base your entire process on a 5 step guide that doesn't have any information regarding gateway (it was made assuming you had dumped your nand and formatted your emunand before even doing that process)
