Is there a way to spoof amiibos with an android device or something? My phone has NFC capablities and I would really like to use it to spoof a Shulk because theres no way in hell Im paying the outrageous ebay prices for him.
Is there a way to do this or no?

Is the NFC device which is built in the New3DS capable of reading and writing? If so, wouldn't it be easier to just make a homebrew for this?

EDIT: Anyone knows how much that maxlander thing costs?

Take in care that "MaxLander" will cost more than a gateway card... It just do a raw copy of the NFC Amiibo Data (It wont dump the chip data, hashes, password, CRC, etc..) allowing you to reimport to the same figure.
As I know, if you try to modify this data (Which is encrpyted) or try to write to another figure it will be useless since you can modify the "check data" :)

Also I was searching and mobile phones will not be able to "emulate" an amiibo since the mobile phones doesn't use the same RF ISO as the amiibo.

You can make your own "emulator" using NTAG215 chips and create a RAW Software that copy the 100% of data (This will include the hashes, CRC, and more important info).

it would be easier/cheaper/faster to use codes to hack the game using stuff like ntr/browser codes, than to spoof amiibos

Imagine that you have a device (something like a clock) where you can choose the amiibo you want to use... then.. you use it in your console and et voila... You have your amiibo :)

Eh, not too hyped to buy an expensive NFC tag reader/writer when the N3DS already has one (and the o3DS too by accesoire).
Just wait for the homebrew. ;)

It's not expensive... See here

I mean the maxlander.
I have no idea how NFC actually works, but from what I read there are different protocols at hardware level.
If the thing you linked can make raw dumps from amiibos and restore them, it's well worth the price.

That thing is literally just an NFC reader that you hook up to a programmable Arduino (which you also need to buy and is not included in the price, but they can be gotten for fairly cheap). It's just a microcontroller, so you'd need to write your own code to do it (or find someone who'll do it and not get his ass sued off), but as long as there are no hardware issues it should work. I dunno about hardware though.

There's some pages that shows you how to use on RaspberryPi (Which goes faster than Arduino) like this one or you can try to build your code as you say or use this one (for Arduino).

LOL this all over again n00bs just dont get it same shit was asked for Skylanders/Infinity figures
