Has there been a mod that allows you to get Amiibo features without a physical amiibos? Nintendo really are milking people and it really bothers me. Remember when games were just 50 dollars? now it's 60 plus 20 dollar DLC so that's 80 but wait don't forget amiibos that goes with that game so thats 140 bucks for 1 game. This is splatoon btw. now just add that to the other games buy.

If you have an Android phone you can flash NTAG215 NFC chips with Amiibo data (floating around on the internet), creating effective Amiibo "clones" which can be used on any Nintendo device (hacked or not).

I didn’t know that you could do what the above users said with android phones, but if you don’t have an one, you can probably buy amiibo “cards” for that game. I bought a set of complete Zelda ones for next to nothing. I’m just wondering if the same exists for Splatoon.

I think what the above user meant about NFC tags are the cards I’m referring to.

If you decide to use use nfc tags+tagmo be sure to get tagmo version 2.6.1. I had problems with the earlier version in which my tags wouldn't be recognized.

Is there a way for N2 Elite write to blank cards? Or does it only write to the n2 tag and nothing else?
N2 Elite is the little puck, you use a button to switch between the amiibos. It's pretty annoying if you have like 10+ in it since it just jumps one each time.

I know that, I have one. Sorry, what I meant was: does the writer that comes with it, write to blank cards?

There is just the puck, then you need a phone that can write nfc. Else you can buy a kit with a writer/reader. I personally have the kit since I'm lazy.
