$10-15 more and you can just get something that works with any hex file along with regular team updates

Wait. I'm sorry it does not take standard Hex. However, they update quick.
I was thinking of something else. They use proprietary .bin files.
I wish someone would have said that sooner. I already ordered it days ago.

Has anyone tried "x3MAX_Generic_V1.1.bin" on amazebreak? Just wondering if it works so you can you use hex code with x3 tool.exe
Whats it do? Mine hasn't gotten here yet. I was hoping that someone would find a way to uprade it without the offical methods. Though speaking of the official methods, does anyone know where a "good" tutorial on how to upgrade it is?

6/7$

does it take hex or bin files?
is it upgradeable?
can it be used to downgrade ps3?
where to buy one?
(Matrix ps3 excepts hex files as well as Bin http://www.r4sakura.com/matrix-ps3-p-2282.html P.S I cant vouch for this dongle)
AMAZE USB DONGLE
1: BIN
2: YES
3: YES
4: Deal extreme
Done my cousins today
All downloads for dongle here http://www.amazebreak.cc/Download.asp

Is is capable of going online, also, if you converted one of the hex things to a bin format would it read it?

It uses proprietary bin files, so you can't just convert hex files.
Currently, you can't go online.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
