Yeah I know, I have a good friend that is going to let me his 3ds but the question is wether to use safesysupdater or normal sysupdater to resume the process
I heard normal sysupdater is more stable. Did your NATIVE_FIRM get downgraded?

A friend downgraded the 3ds to 9.2, but whenever I try to start pastacfw, minipasta or cakes cfw I only get a black screen. The browser still gives me the nag screen telling me to update. I can go into system settings and launch games.
frankenfirmware!
go back to 10.3 using sysupdater, then go back again...

I cant get sysupdater to load it goes to a black screen everytime since I frankendowngraded. I was planning on using the sysupdater to install 10.3 then try again back to 9.2 any ideas?

If at least Native firm was downgraded correctly and your able to access HBL (since you say it back screens since I assume it's working), use the normal version of sysupdater and run the downgrade again

This is the reason why you should have a hardmod before you downgrade. I cant stress it enough how important it is to have a nand backup its a shame when you brick a brand new n3ds specially limited edition versions

Try a different entry point, or possibly try forcing it into recovery and giving the SVC based exploit a swing?

ok tried ninjahax 2.6, browserhax, and 1 other entry point and on each the sysupdater would blackscreen or give the cia warning. Got frustrated and turned off N3DS for an hour then tried again. It then allowed me to upgrade to 10.3. Then had same problem over and over for another 2 hours. Tried 3 different sysupdaters until I found one on Reddit that linked to the newest one here (sysupdater-104to6-) and it opened on the 3rd try. I just dumped the Nand file to my pc and cloud so I am finally moving!
