I have two DS Lite's as it is. I'm getting rid of one. Just wanted to know if I should ask for more or run as fast as I can to get it.

If he isn't lying it should be a slim PSP, but didn't the new motherboards just come out a few weeks ago?

If it was bought a year ago, it wouldn't be a 3000. The chances of it having an unhackable motherboard would also be nearly impossible.

Well, it all depends on the condition of the PSP and if it's Slim/Phat. Either way, as long as it's hackable, GO FOR IT. The PSP itself used would be about 130 bucks (I imagine) which is already about the same price as what you're giving him. A used DS doesn't go for much, and the flashcarts and meaningless seeing as you can get a DSTT for less than 10 bucks. He's giving you a PSP, (hopefully hackable) + memory cards and all those accessories. PLUS, if it IS hackable, you can sell all those horrible movies and games and you'd probably end up getting at least 30 bucks credit at GameStop/EBGames.

Personally, I wouldn't do it because I love my NDS way more than my PSP. However, if you want a PSP, this seems like a pretty good deal.
