I have patched Pokemon Black with AltWFC, yet it still doesn't work. Connected to a network with no security, one that the DS supports, then put the DNS into System Settings AND the game's settings, still won't work.
I'm using a flashcart, it's an Acekard RPG clone and I have a DSTT.
EDIT: I patched it with AltWFC with the new "--domain" command, and wrote the DNS there, too.
