AKAIO is still a work in progress as mentioned by Normmatt !
AKAIO being discontinued is just a joke that was made earlier on
but
knowing Normmatt... if he is indeed pissed off and we won't see 1.5 anytime soon

Yes. I was talking about using the official loaders on AKAIO. Normally AKAIO loaders are better, but since there have been no recent loader updates due to AKAIO 1.5, the official loaders are currently better because they have soft reset and I think support 1 or 2 games more.

true!
just like chris_skylock mentioned
don't bug for 1.5 just wait for it

I know how Normatt and Smiths feel about people asking for future updates. It's getting on my nerve.

We have similar (project) updates on our side so dont ask and it's off topic and it's top secret here.

It's ready when it's ready. I wish I could beta test but im not too sure if i can handle buggy softwares. I didnt beta test windows 7 nor gotten a goodlook at GEN PSP CFW. I want stable software.

I do beta test the youtube online converter desktop version, VIXY, because I really needed it.

So if it's a stable AKAIO 1.5, I'll be there to test. I want something like RTM version (aka Official release)

Thats why you should never announce something until you're ready to release it.
It takes a lot of stress out.

1.5 was never announced.

^ Yeah, what he said.
All jokes aside, 1.5 is real and is being worked on. Though Normmatt mentioned the possibility of AKAIO no longer being updated (at least from him) after 1.5 is out (assuming 1.5 is ever released).

With that said, I think all these topics should be closed. Just like the menudo topics. No point discussing something that's not even released.

Fastest way to get it to release would be to simply ignore that it even exists. When it eventually comes out, you'll all simply be pleasantly surprised.

It's on the wiki and has been posted as the solution to quite a few problems.

Only the 1337 have a copy of the beta & bragging about it doesn't really help.

1) Stupid nerdy technicalities are not arguments.
2) You just copied the definition of "announce". There's no reference to the word "mention" anywhere.

Mention and announcement are two completely different words. Period.

Stop making a fool out of yourself. Admit you're wrong and let it go.

we should just end this whole joke once and for all. pendor, maybe its time we tell them all that akaio 1.5 is a hoax, that norm now devs for the wii. we have been toying with their emotions for so long, i'm not sure it is in our best interests to keep messing with the gbatemp public.

@smf: See? That's an announcement.

You made the stupid nerdy technicality argument, I merely corrected you.

announce == "To make known publicly.", Akaio 1.5 has been made known publicly.

*sigh*

Last time I'll post here. Unlike you, I really don't give a damn about "winning" a stupid argument like this.

Stop the fucking technicalities. Nobody cares.

This is an announcement.

AKAIO 1.5 was never announced. No upcoming features, release dates or anything. Just random mentions.

A piece of advice: don't use a dictionary everytime you need to back up your own words. It's just lame.

QUOTE(jackdanielchan @ Sep 2 2009, 04:59 AM)
I think if we got a straight answer, all will become clear, and no more annoying threads!

This is what norm said about yesterday's beta:

CODE
If all goes well this will be the official release.

Is that good enough for you?

It's still up to him to decide when it's going to be released, though.

Sorry, you gave the impression you cared as you started the argument about my use of the word announce.

Strange, I thought dictionaries were the place to look up the meanings of words.
You'll be telling me next that I shouldn't look up questions in the FAQ.

I'm guessing you thought I meant that a release was announced, but I never said that.
