Would you change, which would you pick? Which do you think is better?

Hmm... Considering that I don't have a DSi (and will NEVER GET ONE) I am more partial towards the new 2.1. If I could pick again I probably would switch to the 2.1, because the review of it showed a lot of new/better/upgraded things , and I don't have an DSi

So, what would you do? Change (figuring you have an AK2i [figuring you have a dslite/dsphat] or AK2) or keep?

Lol, I suck at forums polls. I hope it comes out right... >_

The AK2i is much better since it works on ALL DS's
and it has a better build

For example, if you're at a friend's place. You can use your cart on his DSi o-o
Also, the AK2i is better for the long run in case you do end up switching.

the 2i has a worse build quality. it has a higher failure rate. the pcb and msd slot have contact issues. if you don't own the dsi, don't get the 2i. acekard does have a 1 yr warranty but it has been hard to get replacements from some resellers due to acekard's policy to sell at wholesale to sellers out of china.

Yes, get the 2.1, but be careful that you don't get leftovers from the bad batch.

Hmm? Well, does the 2i use clips to hold it together? Do you risk breaking the 2i in half if you drop it?

i personally love my 2i... but i am NEVER getting a dsi.... still, it has kind of just fine build quality....

but it had/has a bad micro sd slot... still flash cards don't really need the best build quality, unless you abuse it which should not be done.

the 2i is just a modified 2.1. just without clips.

but i say get the 2.1. i only got the 2i since it was like $1 more, which that dollar can be used with a friends dsi... so yar

I'll stick with the 2i, after all the bad publicity the 2.1 had, kinda puts me off the thought of buying one.

For me, it's because I have a DSi that I have an Acekard 2i. I doodle a lot in Flipnote Studio and there are some really good DSiWare titles available.

As for my friends, I can say +2 on AK 2.1, as they are happy with DS Lites and want to step away from their R4's and Top Toys.

I still will stick with my AK2i since I still plan on getting a DSi XL and why would i need clips (AK2.1) when the AK2i is glued together (more solid). Plus the later AK2is don't use a window in the shell like the earlier models which to me is of a superior build method.

I haven't had much in contact issues. I used to have some kind of contact issue with the pcb in the DSL for a little while until i popped open my AK2i during that "name your Acekard cart" period.

After I glued it back together it hasn't had any contact issues.

Also my mSDHC hasn't had any issues at all with the AK2i but occasionally you may have to push the mSDHC a little harder down after putting it in if you didn't slide it in the slot far enough. I just pull my mSDHC out of the spring slot instead of pushing down on the spring since the spring seems to last longer that way.

I see very little that is debatable between the AK2.1 and the AK2i.

LMAO, thats like asking whats better, iPhone 2G or iPhone 3GS...

Yes, iPhone 2G has a better casing, but 3GS has an overall better package...

Obviously AK2i

Newer 2.1's have a glued shell. I own one.

I also own a 2i but the only thing I would like is better build quality.

Both of mine don't have contact problems.
