But isn't there a way to buy download games too or are they to lazy to even do that.

Eh, money should never be an excuse for piracy. The only valid excuse for pirating a game is really "Because I want to." Well that, and backing up games you do actually own. I tend to pirate Japan or America-only games on DS/Wii (I'm in Europe). What's the point in supporting a developer that doesn't want to sell the game to me? Granted, I've purchased several Japanese DS and PS2 games, but recently I've stopped bothering.

Anyway, cool about the 3DS. I don't think it's worth buying one until it gets a good library of games and (hopefully) apps though.

I'm quite sure they just misspelled stuff here. Unless a mirracle occoured (and it probably didn't), the AK2i isn't able to use DSi features.

The DS, DSi and 3DS frameworks are entirely different from eachother. It's like asking a Gameboy Color flashcard "would you kindly play my GBA ROM's for me?". It's not going to work, it'd take severe software, if not hardware alterations. The fact that it fits the slot doesn't exactly cut it.

I'd always wondered.Actually as mocking as that sounds, it's half the battle. Convenience is a target for people. It's part of the reason the itunes store (and amazon MP3) are so popular (especially now that iTunes music has gone DRM-free). It offers the same get-music-without-having-to-get-off-your-ass without the whole chance-of-being-sued-for-millions.

I agree with this. Video games are not a need. If you pirate them, it's because you choose to. Don't pretend like anybody's forcing your hand.

Good thing i bought a AK2i, bad thing my DS Lite died over six months a go and all my cash is currently going towards a 3DS.
I may have to ask my friends brother if i can barrow his DS Lite for a bit when the update comes out, or go test one at the pawn shop and bring my AK2i with the update on my Micro SD card.
this gives me time to save up/wait for good 3DS games to be released, and at the same time prevent my 3DS from collecting dust.
