Hacking AK2i on 3DS

To add my 2c on the DSi games, with the recent spelunking into DSi hacking, and the face that the 3DS is a powerhouse, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually found a way to get DSi mode working on an Acekard 2i on a 3DS. It'd probably be a stretch on an actual DSi but the 3DS could have that little extra bit needed to get it working.

And if not... I wouldn't really be missing anything. The only game that has DSi features out there that seems like it'd be worth even playing is Pokemon Black and White, other than that nothing really stands out. And even for that it's just a extra fluff thing.

The one thing I don't really like is the whole getting 3DS games working. Honestly, I don't see that happening on the 2i. That'd be too much. I really don't want this system completely ripped open, as long as what I have now can continue to do what it does now I'm happy, and the 3DS can get it's new games going. And actually, as long as DS games stay free reign but 3DS games stay secure that would probably be more than enough reason for game developers to put more support into the 3DS.

So TL;DR,
Acekard 2i on 3DS = YES!
DSi games = PLEASE YES!
3DS games on AK2i (or anything at this point) = "Baby Let's Wait".

Just updated the firmware on my AK2I and it doesn't work on my newly opened 3DS. It does show a pretty 3D icon though... Perhaps I'll reformat the card later and try again

To be fair, I can't afford DS games due to being a broke college student. However, I believe I will be going legit with my 3DS games, especially since there's some real gems on the horizon.

What 3D icon?

The icon looks like the AK2i cartridge rotating around in 3D. Looks very cool, but again, it doesn't actually load on my US 3DS

Ok, NOW I feel stupid. Looks like I updated before the actual link was up and updated to the last firmware. I just did the real update and it works! So does moonshell! There is still a 3D cartridge logo but it's a logo from a Japanese game.
