but as soon as I start a game I get a blackscreen and return to the system menu.
hello,

your syscheck report is correct

the problem may come from your SD card (not powerful enough), is it an official one?
the small lock on the side of the SD is not write-protected?

use a FAT32 external hard drive and you'll be fine

This time I moved all my Games that were working fine from my SanDisk Usb-Flash to the SanDisk Sd-Card (both FAT32) I was also using. I also installed the newest version of WiiFlow Lite (v.5.5.3). Before I was using USB-LoaderGX
You have the Wii games stored in the sd card? It's not recommended at all to do that, because not all games will work from the sd card, without mentioning the speed bottleneck and the eventual wear-tear on the sd card reader. So yeah, not recommended. Use a usb flash drive, or better, an external hdd.
I tried forcing specific cios, erase wiiflow save and using my flash again.
You put your games back on the usb flash drive and the issue remained?
Make sure it's formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size, and is plugged into port 0.
Also, check the hash of these wbfs files in WiiBackupManager, they could be corrupt.
I have the opposite problem in wiiflow: wii games load OK but GameCube games goes to a black screen

To make this weirder, The GameCube games load ok in CFG usb loader and usb loader gx, the issue is only in wiiflow
Have you tried running them from Nintendont itself? Also make sure it's up to date (Nintendont).

Try it with a GameCube controller, if that doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you but I had the same problem and using a GameCube controller worked for me

TryHave you tried running them from Nintendont itself? Also make sure it's up to date (Nintendont).

Well, I could purchase a GameCube controller, i guess anyway I need one since it seems to run better some of the emulators I like. But the strange thing is I am 99% sure that GameCube games were working in my wiiflow in the past, I don't have exact track what I modified since then, besides updating plugins pack to v6 and, some time after, to v12

I did not tested it recently in Nintendont, sure I gonna do it , but I believe it will work, since it's working in usb loader gx AND in cfg usb loader using Nintendont as base

So I tried again with my my flash, and all games were working except for one (Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing). So maybe the sd card was a problem in the first place. However I did not change anything since yesterday when I tried my flash, so I don't know what caused it to not load yesterday but at least they work now except for one. Still I am thankful for your help @CoolMe @jeannotte

Anyway I downloaded WiiBackupManager and checked the game file that was not working and it had a problem (question marks in red). So I used the repair wbfs files function under fat32/ntfs which was under tools, but it still gave me the blackscreen and the kick back to system menu. So I tried downloading the USA version in hope for it to load, but it did not again. But this time in the WiiBackupManager there was a MD5 hash. I made a screenshot of it. Any idea for what it means or what I should do to have it load?

It's better to just download the wbfs file again, or re-rip the disc or wherever you're getting your games from.

You downloaded the game again from the internet and the issue reminded?
The verify hash/md5 function is also under tools, just click on check it should tell you if your file is good & not corrupted, or not.

Well, I tried opened the Nintendont and my surprise is that it started automatically a game (Mario kart double dash). The game worked but I couldn't see the Nintendont console. I guess I have set up some option in the past to "auto load last game played" or something like that, how can I reset Nintendont configs? I am afraid to re-dowload Nintendont and do a clean reinstall and ending by it not being the best version around..

I'm having the same problem, I press play then my screen goes black and my controller disconnects and nothing will happen unless I unplug the Wii. Ive opened all my Wii games in dolphin and they were fine. My sd card is fat32, pretty sure my cios is right, and I'm pretty sure the games are named correctly. Not sure what the problem is. Im using wiiflow 5.5.3

When you launch Wii games on Wiiflow Lite?
My sd card is fat32,
Games are stored in your sd card? Maybe that's your problem..

@bl0ndid I don't think you can play any Wii game from the sd card with Wiiflow Lite (i could be wrong tho)..

Syscheck looks good.
So that leaves your sd card. Check the sd adapter, the lock slider should be in the "unlocked" position. Or test with another one just to be sure.
Check the video mode settings, leave it at default or disc default.
You could also verify your games for corruption (hash) with WiiBackupManager.

Still, like i said above, i don't think Wiiflow or any loader will play all Wii games from sdcard without issues.

everytime i try to open a game of my usb the screen goes black.
Is the usb drive formatted as Fat32 32kb clusters?
Wii Games transferred with WiiBackupManager?
Check the video settings, make sure it's set to "auto" for all games.
and when i try my sd card it returns to the wii menu.
Make sure you have WiiFlow_Lite on your sd card, otherwise it will kick back to the homebrew channel when you try to launch it. Also get the latest Wiiflow Lite while you are at it.
also tried every cios same problem with all of them.
Uh, post a syscheck here.

Hey there!

It sounds like you're facing an issue where most games launched through WiiFlow are crashing back to the Wii menu, except for New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This problem is usually related to the way the games are set up or an issue with the cIOS. Here are a few suggestions that might help:

  1. Check if your games are properly formatted and placed in the correct folder on your SD card or USB drive.
  2. Ensure you have the latest version of WiiFlow and that your cIOS are correctly installed. Sometimes, updating or reinstalling them can fix compatibility issues.
  3. Try changing the game's IOS within WiiFlow's game settings. Some games work better with specific IOS.
Hope this helps and you get back to gaming smoothly!
