Hopefully the next apple update won't try to kill it.

I just need to know when I'll be able to actually view flash on my iphone.

So do websites implement this or is this an app?

I remember reading an app that view "flash" videos. You copy the url and the app sends you a link to the converted video.

This can maybe deliver something as far as viewing flash media is concerned, but how well will mouse-operated flash games work?

Apple can't block this. As I understand it, the Media Sever decodes the flash on the site's servers and then sends it to the mobile device; the flash is never decoded locally. This is not something will begin to happen immediately either, websites must choose to implement the new media server.

It's not going to work with Flash games, or animation from what I hear.

It most likely won't work with flash games. I see flash videos as their top priority.

So, what, in the end all it's doing is accessing the FLV video data?

It's too late. I'm done with apple. It's android for me from now on, phones, tablets, and micro tablets. Besides the number of android apps will eventually exceed the number of ios apps.

its as if apple wanna be unique... man!
there are so many things that require flash on the internet and i dont think its only patent issues but that flash can be insecure esp for their own iOS.

as ron said, i believe jailbreak is the issue. but it seems now everything is turning to be done on servers and not the client
