Perhaps ItsMetaKnight plans on using CS4 for profit, and as such, would find it immoral to steal a tool which he uses directly to make money. Everyone has different values. I, for one, subscribe to such values, that I won't steal a program that I'll be using professionally for profit. That's just a bit too immoral for me.

Whats new in CS4?

Well IMHO, one of the most important things is 64-Bit versions of the applications. Also, applications such as Photoshop CS4 will finally allow for usage of your GPU. "For example, the graphics chip helps Photoshop CS4 fluidly zoom in and out, rotate the canvas so artists can reorient an image for the best sketching angle, display and manipulate 3D objects, and handle color correction."

Aside from that, all applications in Creative Suite 4 now feature the same user interface, a new tabbed interface for working with concurrently running programs.... and it's about time if I do say so myself. I can't tell you how much I despise working on multiple projects in Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign with CS3 and earlier because it is such a pain in the ass to switch between them, such as when working with both Photoshop and Dreamweaver for web design.

I do hope that they allow for optimized dual monitor workspaces for certain applications that don't have it already though. Dreamweaver already has this, and Premier also allows you to easily drag certain parts of the workspace onto another monitor, but Illustrator won't even as much as let you drag a project from one window to the next, at least in my experiences with it.

Now to try and convince my boss to allow us to upgrade from CS3 to CS4.

Plus, I have CS3 Master Collection on my PC right now.
Kinda weird though, I don't even use half of the applications.
Some of them just seem too inapplicable.

Well, no forgetting businesses are the main users of Adobe applications, so that's where they make most of their money. I'm pretty sure Adobe wouldn't expect someone using it for no profit or fun to pay that much. Or if they do, they're just greedy aha.
