I am more than sure that its porperly named. I even tried the file on 3 different SD cards (256mb, 1 and 2 gb) and I get the same result. I'm on a NTSC-U system

I can confirm that [Move Disc Channel], [Replace Healthwarning with Backmenu], and [Region Free Channels] work.

1) I moved the disc channel (since I'll rarely be using it) and replaced it with the HBC

2) I no longer have a pesky health warning

3) Installed Kimi to Boku to Rittai (NTSC-J), and initially (without hack) got the good old "This channel cannot be used" message. Installed the [Region Free Channels] hack, and have since been playing the game for a solid 2 hours.

Thanks again. Very, very much. Especially for [Region Free Channels]. Didn't think I'd have much use for that one, but then, I didn't realize I'd find a wad for 'You, Me and Shape' within 30 minutes of running across your post. This rocks. Later I'll double check to see if [Region Free Channels from SD] works too, but I have total confidence that it will.

Not sure what to say to folks who can't get the hacks to show up. Works like a charm here.... and if the file is named right, with the hacks pasted in correctly, there's no real reason why Preloader shouldn't list them, even if the hacks didn't actually work (which they do). It's formatted exactly how Preloader needs it to be. You realize that hacks.ini has to be in the ROOT of the SD card, right? Not the Preloader folder.

Yup....I have hacks.ini in the root and preloader recognizes it and lists them, i enable the "move disc channel" hack and unfortunately i still can't move it

not that big a deal really but it's kinda annoying that I can't figure out why it isn't working

Is this wiiware? So you mean region free channels supports any region wiiware games?

Yup, I saved the settings.....when I go back to preloader on another reboot it shows that it's still enabled as well.....I've heard there was a little bug that would effect enabling the last hack in the list stored in hacks.ini in older versions of preloader.....maybe that's the case here....

Yes, that's exactly what it does.

Yeah, I discovered that one in 0.28, but I guess Crediar didn't fix it in 0.29. All you have to do is add an extra blank line (hit enter) to your hacks.ini after your last hack, and everything should work ok!

Working great now! Thanks everyone....I went through the ini file line by line and found an extra space after the 2nd last hack.....I removed the space, resaved the file and then re-enabled the hacks in preloader and all work great now

It seems you are trying to use 3.2E hacks info to directly derive the NoCopy Protection values. But according to my experiences in 3.2U to 4.0U for this hack, disassemble/reverse-engineering is required because some codes are different:
801D0024/901D0024 should be changed to 801C0024/901C0024 due to reference to different CPU register.
And one of 7C000000 (should be the "not found yet" one) would also need to change the next code as 7C000000 4182001C due to different compare/branch instructions.
I guess the 4.0E would be similar with 4.0U.
