Hacking Adding IOS38

I recently updated my Wii from 3.2 to 4.0 using Dop-IOS Mod, also installing IOS60 along the way. However, now whenever I try to play Animal Crossing; City Folk, the disc channel asks me to update. So, in order to add IOS38 so that the update won't shouw up again, should I

1. Download IOS38 with NUS Downloader and Pack as a Wad?

or

2. Use Dop-IOS to download, install, and patch IOS38 to my Wii?

or use preloader or starpatch and enable skip disc check updates.

You can use either of those methods to install IOS38 if you don't have it already. They'll both work.

To block the update message, get preloader or startpatch like icpmattj said.
