Can Switch make actual overclock more than 1785 cpu and 921 gpu?

What do you mean by "actual", the overclock available right now are actual overclocks and are capped for safety reasons.

The clocks can maybe go higher, but your switch wont last long before it turns into a rather crunchy baked potato (assuming it'd boot at all).

Even at max current overclock you can have performance and stability issues with some games. So trying to go any higher is just asking for trouble.

It's not like downloading more ram for your pc, it's not as easy as that. Although if you find a way to download more Ghz for the switch you could probably play all games at 4k 60fps. I'm sure someone who's dad works at Nintendo will tell you that they can already do this though.

Those are the highest speeds that PCV will allow you to set, going higher isn’t possible.

Huh? No it doesn’t.

They aren't real overclocks; the Tegra X1 is binned at ~1.9GHz. An 'actual' overclock would be something like 2.2GHz. This is similar to the new 3DS "overclocks" which only boost the speed up to the 804mhz standard.

It is well know and even the guys who created the overclocking apps for the switch say that some configurations may break some games...
"1785 → max clock, will cause instability in certain configurations"

Name one game, that is affected negatively by overclocking. Because afaik it isnt well known :P. If you can name one i will believe it. Sure it might affect your battery life, but otherwise those “configurations” have nothing to do with OC itself.

That was referring to an ancient bug in Atmosphere that caused freezes with higher CPU clock speeds that was fixed months ago. Dunno why that’s still in the description still /shrug. All systems and 99% of (if not all) games will handle 1785mhz CPU and 921mhz GPU without issue
