I wouldn't sic CCLeaner on my worst enemy, it's bloatware and malware, just use Windows Disk Cleanup and/or software that's actually useful.

Works fine for me, and anyways, look at the end of that post, he says it does still work, but it may be "too powerful" for people who don't know how to use it.

Exactly. It can be useful if you know how to use it, but never, EVER use the registry cleaner that comes with it.

Anything but the super popular brands, as popular doesn't always mean good or reliable. Asus, Acer, Lenovo, are typically way more reliable

Then don't say 'It will either do nothing at all, or it will completely mess up your system.' You are implying that it has no use at all, if it doesn't ruin your system. Just say, 'Just remember to not use the registry cleaner as it can mess up your system (source).'
