My bad, well I know of 3 confirmed non bricked SD cards, Kingston and SanDisk. :/ I dont have a full list since yaknow.. dont have the money to go testing everything XD.

As for the specifications of FAT16, I cant claim to be an encyclopedia of its full capabilities, but I formated with a cluster size of 64 KB and can use the full extent of my 4 gig card. So I guess those specs are not completely accurate to today. :/

It CAN use 64KB clusters, but it's not standard and not supported.
It's the same way that the effective limit of FAT32 is 2TB, but you can get 8TB by using a non-standard 64KB cluster.

Also, you don't need to BE an encyclopedia when we live in an age where arguably the largest encyclopedia is at our fingertips:
