Just got an AceKard2i for the DSixl. Comes up as Alex Rider. Fine. Downloaded the latest firmware. Problem is - some games work and some do not. The ones that don't work are newer releases, such as Sims3 and Megamind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
The question is 'what firmware are you using?' Is it the official acekard firmware or AKAIO. If the former than use AKAIO where I'll attach a link. Get AKAIO 1.8.1

If you're using AKAIO 1.8.1, than use the Anti-anti-piracy (AAP) feature by going into the main menu or going into 'rom settings' of each individual rom by pressing Y on the rom.

If you are using the AAP and aren't getting results than the problem is with your micro sd card. AAP is a new feature which is not yet perfected and should be fixed or improved with the next version of AKAIO, so you may have to play the waiting game. For more details on this, I suggest you go onto the Acekard sub forum on GBAtemp where there is a thread discussing this at greater depth...

All you can do is wait for AKAIO to be updated with game fixes, or find patches for the individual roms you want to play.
If it works, try running a rom with anti-anti-piracy enabled, you should be able to do this under rom options by pressing Y.

There was a recent update to AKAIO 1.8.2, but this was pulled because this firmware apparently caused bricks.
There was a fake AKAIO 1.8.3 firmware released by a stranger, which should not be downloaded under any circumstances, do not update beyond AKAIO 1.8.1 unless an official news post has appeared on GBAtemp.
