AceKard 2i UK DSi
Acekard 2i working on launch DSi
Not sure if this has been seen/announced, but we got some DSis in at work Tuesday and I was able to get any pics giving it a run using my new AceKard 2i. This is jsut a heads up to say the UK DSis released tomorrow will work with the 2i.

They are on firmware 1.2e, unfortunately I was not in a WiFi hotspot to see if there were any updates.

Her are some more less than great pics.

Let's hope for that it also works with the launch USA DSi.
This is the reason I'm putting off buying an "i" cart until after it comes out.
I won't be getting mine for a little while anyways since I pre-ordered my online.

Latest firmware is 1.3, but AUS DSi is confirmed to work with 1.3a

This is great news. It seems very highly unlikely that US Dsi will not be compatible with the kard.

Hmm, does this mean the DSi flashcart method is immune to firmware updates?

Or has Nintendo simply not attempted to block the AK2i yet?

Eitherway, I think I know what I'll be buying soon then.

Well I already ordered the AceKard 2i. I have an AUS DSi, and wait for the kard to come. I'm not 100% sure that it will work(even though it is posted above), as an acekard reseller has mentioned that it has some issues. I don't want the R4i, because of the disturbing packaging....

And plus, buy watching some vids about the R4i, I noticed it is almost exactly as the R4 and its clones. hate the R4 and how it works. So I can't wait for my AceKard 2i. Oh by the way, its been 2 weeks since I ordered!! (I got my one from gamekool.com. This shows what bad service they give!:()

PS: So sad that I can't use my M3 Sakura. I made my own skin (Thanks to GBATemp for some info) which took me like 1 week to make...

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
