Hacking Acekard 2i, Help!

I got my acekard 2i yesterday, i updated it and all that. now today, it's not working!?

I NEED SOME HELP!!!! thanks in advance!

ok. it was working on my dsl not the dsi. it worked after i used an update to make it work on the dsi. i played for a awhile then turned the dsi off. i turned it back on to play another game but didnt show up on the menu. i inserted the acekard 2i in the dsl, and also did not show up in the menu.

Try sliding a piece of paper between the AK2i and the DS Slot-1.

I refuse to help someone who so blatantly has not done the following:

1. Read the rules.
2. Had any patience to wait for a reply before nagging (also related to 1).
3. Not done a SEARCH (or you would have stated what you have tried already).

Try inserting and ejecting it to/from the DSi ~~10 times to clean the contacts.

It's a DS not an NES... I think Nintendo patched that exploit

But yeah... if you want to clean the contacts, cotton swab + rubbing alcohol.
The DS seems to have enough problems with the contacts wearing down as is...

Like everyone else said, check/clean/fix/whatever the contacts for both the cartridge (Acekard 2i) and the microSD card. You could also try plugging the microSD into your computer and testing it, if for some reason it died???

The micro sd card is working perfectly fine.

OK, I can't help you if I don't know what the problem is.

So I don't have to make as many posts, I am going to assume you are a total n00b. Sorry if this is not the case.

What type of DS are you using? DS, DS Lite, or DSi
If you are using a DSi, what firmware version are you using? (DSi Menu >> System Settings. It should be on the top screen, like "1.4U")
What happens when you put it in to the DS? Does it appear in the menu? (NOTE: DS and DS Lites require you put the cartrage in when it is OFF)
If it appears on the menu, when you open it, do you get stuck at "Loading...", does it referr you to "support.nintendo.com" or does it say "System file not found!"? What happens?

If it refferes you to "support.nintendo.com", you are running DSi Menu 1.4. You will need a DS, DS Lite, or pre-1.4 DSi. Download http://www.mediafire.com/?1xquh1ymjjx and run the DS Lite updater on a DS or DS Lite, or the DSi updater on a DSi
If it gets stuck at the Loading... screen, your microSD card might be corrupt. Try reformatting it.
TO reformat:
On windows:
Insert it into your computer. Open up "My Computer" or "Computer" and right click on the microSD card's icon. From the menu, select "Format" and on the window that appears, format it. ALL DATA ON A REFORMATTED DISK WILL BE LOST. COPY ANY IMPORTANT DATA OFF OF THE DISK BEFORE FORMATTING!
Once it tells you something allong the lines of "Format complete" you are done formatting. After this, copy you'r ROMs back to it and continue for the instructions for "System file not found!"
On a Macintosh running Mac OS X:
From your desktop, double-click your harddrive. IIRC the default is "Macintosh HD". From there, double click on "Applications" and from there double click on "Utilities". There should be a file named "Disk Utility" or "Disk Utility.app". Double-click on it, and from the window that appears, select your microSD card. Go to "Format" and format it (This varries slightly per Mac OS X version)

IF it says "System file not found"
download this:
http://www.acekard.com/download/akaio/AKAIO.1.5.rar
and extract it to toe root of your microSD card. You can use 7-Zip for this.
THE ROOT OF THE MICROSD CARD IS WHAT ON WINDOWS WILL APPEAR AS SOMETHING LIKE G: ON A MAC IT IS THE ICON FOR THAT DISK THAT APPEARS ON THE DESKTOP

Eject the microsd card. Tada!

I am using both DS lite and Dsi. I tried the formatting thing and it still didn't work. And YES, i did insert it in the ds lite before it was on. Sorry if I'm giving everyone a hell of a time.

No, it does NOT show up in BOTH DSL & DSi
