Hacking Acekard 2i help

It went like this, when my friend asked me to update his newly bought Acekard2i because he updated his DSi to 1.4 so i put the DSL one to the root of the card and safely removed the Card reader and put the AK2i in a DS lite, and updated it, it updated successfully but when i tried to reboot the DS lite it, it freezes on the Safety intruction screen, so i tried it on the DSi the DSi doesn't read it, we even tried blowing into Slot 1, but it still didn't work,

Help me, is my friend's acekard 2i bricked? or is there any other solution?

i put the DSL one to the root of the card

Do you mean the ds update file?? that one is for updating multiple AK2i's in a row. DSI one is for updating 1

This shouldnt have made a difference but it sounds like you might have turned the ds lite off before it was compled updating.

Is the AK2i working? as in on another dsl??
